Junta Airstrikes on Zee Kone Village Massacre Civilians in Sagaing

On March 12, 2026, Myanmar military junta jet fighters bombed a religious site and residential areas in Zee Kone village, Tigyaing Township. The strike killed 10 people, including monks and novices, and wounded dozens. Human rights monitors reported that the deliberate targeting of civilian-inhabited areas without ongoing active clashes forced approximately 3,200 villagers to flee into the surrounding jungle for safety, following a three-day aerial bombardment campaign across the region.
