Taiwan Tracks Nine PLA Vessels and Aircraft Near Median Line
Taiwan’s Ministry of National Defense (MND) tracked nine Chinese naval vessels and two People's Liberation Army (PLA) aircraft operating around the island on April 3, 2026. Two of the aircraft crossed the Taiwan Strait median line into the southwestern and eastern air defense identification zones (ADIZ). Taiwan deployed naval ships, combat aircraft, and land-based missile systems to monitor the activity, which continues a baseline of high-frequency military pressure maintained throughout 2025 and 2026.
