ADF Rebels Kill Over 43 Civilians in Ituri Province Massacre
At least 43 civilians were killed and 44 houses were burned in an attack by the ISIS-linked Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) in the village of Bafwakoa, Ituri province, reported on April 2-3, 2026. The attackers used machetes and fire against residents. Congolese military spokesperson Lieutenant Jules Tshikudi Ngongo confirmed the death toll on Friday as search operations continued.
