RSF Encirclement of Bahri Neighborhoods Triggers Exodus
A strategic encirclement of northern Bahri (Khartoum North) by RSF forces led to a desperate evacuation of the remaining civilian population. Local resistance committees reported that 15,000 people crossed the Nile using small boats and makeshift bridges to reach safer zones in Omdurman. The movement occurred under sniper fire and constant drone surveillance. Humanitarian groups describe the situation as a 'final exodus' for many who had stayed behind since the start of the conflict in 2023.
