Investigation Continues into Deadliest USAF KC-135 Crash in Iraq
U.S. Central Command released an updated statement regarding the loss of a KC-135 Stratotanker in western Iraq. The incident, which killed six airmen on March 12, occurred after a mid-air collision with a second KC-135 in friendly airspace. The second aircraft managed an emergency landing in Israel. CENTCOM reaffirmed that the incident was not caused by hostile or friendly fire and is strictly an operational accident under investigation.
