Gran Grif Gang Raid in Petite-Rivière de l'Artibonite Causes Mass Flight
Between March 28 and 29, 2026, the Gran Grif gang launched a coordinated assault on Petite-Rivière de l'Artibonite. At least 30 people were killed and 50 homes were set ablaze. Human rights groups confirmed that 8,500 residents fled the agricultural hub toward Gonaïves and Saint-Marc.
