RSF Shelling of Al-Fashir Residential Districts
Following intensive RSF shelling of residential neighborhoods in Al-Fashir on March 16, approximately 15,000 civilians were forced to flee toward the already overcrowded Zamzam IDP camp. Local humanitarian monitors and Radio Dabanga reported that the escalation in artillery fire targeted civilian infrastructure, making the eastern districts uninhabitable. This new wave of displacement adds to the severe humanitarian crisis in North Darfur as basic services and food supplies remain critically low.
