IDF Operation in Northern Gaza Displaces Jabalia Residents
A localized IDF ground operation targeting re-emergent Hamas cells in Jabalia led to the displacement of 14,500 people. Residents fled toward Gaza City's western neighborhoods as tanks advanced into the eastern parts of the camp. UNRWA reported that the displacement occurred amidst heavy nighttime shelling and drone activity. Many of those displaced had only recently returned to the area following previous withdrawals. Humanitarian agencies expressed concern over the repeated cycle of displacement for the same families in northern Gaza.
