Rapid Support Forces shelling of Dilling kills 14 civilians in South Kordofan
Sudan’s Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and allied SPLM-N forces launched a major offensive on Dilling, South Kordofan, on March 28, 2026. Intense artillery and drone shelling of residential neighborhoods killed at least 14 people, including five children and two women, and wounded 23 others. The Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) claimed to have repelled the assault, destroying 36 combat vehicles. Medical groups warned of a catastrophic humanitarian crisis in the city as it faces its second day of heavy bombardment.
