Russia-Ukraine Prisoner of War Exchange: 500 Each
Russia and Ukraine exchanged 500 prisoners of war each on March 6, 2026, in Kyiv. This is one of the largest single-day POW exchanges of the conflict. Earlier on February 26, Russia handed over bodies of 1,000 Ukrainian soldiers in exchange for 35 Russian soldiers.
