Mass Labor Protests in Paris Turn Violent

An estimated 200,000 people marched in Paris to protest proposed changes to public sector contracts. The demonstration turned violent in the late afternoon as 'Black Bloc' groups clashed with CRS riot police near the Place de la République. Police used tear gas and water cannons to disperse the crowd after several storefronts were damaged.
