Russia launches retaliatory missile and drone barrage against Kyiv
Russian forces launched a coordinated overnight missile and drone assault targeting the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv, killing at least two people and wounding ten others. Ukraine's State Emergency Service reported significant damage across municipal districts following aerial interceptions and impacts. The barrage was launched by Moscow in response to Ukrainian long-range strikes carried out deep behind Russian lines earlier in the operational week.
