US Peace Envoys Travel to Kyiv Following Moscow Talks with Putin
United States special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner departed Moscow bound for Kyiv to present a ceasefire framework directly to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The visit followed discussions with Vladimir Putin. Ukrainian leadership proposed a temporary mutual pause on airstrikes during the envoys' presence in the region, seeking substantive peace negotiations to curtail the long-running war despite recent heavy drone and missile exchanges.
