India offers mediation to end Russia-Ukraine war
During a visit to Kyiv, Indian External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar stated that India is prepared to assist in efforts to end the conflict between Russia and Ukraine if requested. Speaking alongside Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, Jaishankar emphasized India's preference for dialogue and diplomacy, though he stopped short of announcing a formal mediation initiative. The two sides also discussed recent security concerns regarding commercial shipping in the Black Sea.
