Yale Researchers Warn of Military Build-Up at Ethiopian Base Near Sudan Border
The Yale Humanitarian Research Lab reported a significant military build-up at an Ethiopian base located near the Sudanese border. Analysts suggest the deployment may be intended to divert Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) from North Kordofan, potentially leading to simultaneous fighting in Blue Nile and El Obeid. The build-up increases the risk to civilians in the border regions as tensions between the SAF and the Rapid Support Forces continue to draw in regional actors.
