Israeli Airstrikes Target 40 Hezbollah Launch Sites in Lebanon
The Israeli Air Force struck 40 targets across southern Lebanon on August 30, 2026, in a preemptive effort to thwart a large-scale Hezbollah rocket assault. Hezbollah responded by launching 320 rockets and drones targeting 11 Israeli military sites, including the Golan Heights. The exchange of fire has led to the displacement of nearly one million people in Lebanon, with Prime Minister Mikati calling for an immediate international intervention to stop the regional escalation.
