Iran prepares conditions for reopening Strait of Hormuz
Iran has announced it is drafting a list of conditions to allow the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz following requests from international mediators. Tehran maintains that the US must take practical steps to meet these demands, which include ending regional wars in Gaza, Lebanon, and Syria, before the waterway can be reopened to traffic. The US has stated it is not currently negotiating directly with Iran.
