Ukrainian Forces Intercept Rare Russian Knyaz Veschyi Oleg Drone
During a defensive operation over the Sumy region, Ukrainian air defenses successfully intercepted 75 Russian drones, including a rare and expensive 'Knyaz Veschyi Oleg' model valued at approximately $100,000. The downing of this high-value asset highlights the increasing sophistication of the aerial war. The Sumy region remains a primary target for Russian cross-border strikes, with frequent use of both standard and specialized unmanned systems to probe Ukrainian defensive perimeters and target military infrastructure.
