Ukrainian forces liberate Filiya and advance in Oleksandrivka counteroffensive
The Ukrainian General Staff confirmed on August 15 that its forces have liberated the settlement of Filiya, northeast of Oleksandrivka, as part of a broader mechanized counteroffensive. Ukrainian troops utilized combined arms tactics, integrating drone support with infantry and mechanized maneuver to retake several tactical positions. Despite Russian claims of advances in the region, verified reports indicate Ukrainian forces have established full control and cleared approaches to the newly liberated areas in the southern theater.
