Romanian Navy Destroys Two Russian "Gerbera" Drones in Black Sea
The Romanian Ministry of Defense confirmed that its navy intercepted and destroyed two Russian "Gerbera" type drones drifting approximately 90 nautical miles from the port of Constanta. The Gerbera, a lower-cost variant of the Shahed drone, was neutralized by specialized divers after being detected in international waters. This incident highlights increasing maritime risks in the Black Sea as Russian drone operations frequently stray near NATO territory during attacks on Ukrainian port infrastructure.
