Iran Appoints Mohsen Rezaei as Supreme National Security Council Chief
The Iranian government has officially named Mohsen Rezaei as the new head of the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC). Rezaei, a veteran political and military figure, takes over the role as Iran navigates complex regional tensions, including the Red Sea blockade and negotiations over the Strait of Hormuz. His appointment is seen as a move to consolidate security policy amidst ongoing friction with the U.S. and Israel regarding regional proxy activities.
