Sudanese Army Seizes Strategic Highway and Reports RSF Unit Surrender
The Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) regained control of the 360-kilometer highway linking Omdurman to el-Obeid, effectively reopening vital supply routes to the besieged capital of North Kordofan. Concurrently, a unit of the RSF's 'Group 26' surrendered to the army in Omdurman, handing over weapons and equipment. The SAF leadership reported capturing the towns of Bara and Um Sayala, signaling a significant shift in the Kordofan front as the RSF retreats toward Darfur.
