Israeli airstrikes in Gaza kill 17 as ceasefire implementation stalls
At least 17 Palestinians were killed in Israeli airstrikes across the Gaza Strip on August 3, 2026, as military operations intensified in Gaza City, Deir al-Balah, and Khan Younis. A medicines warehouse at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital was among the infrastructure hit, raising concerns over a healthcare collapse. The strikes come amid political tension as Israeli officials express skepticism regarding a proposed disarmament plan for Hamas, which had been presented as a breakthrough by international mediators.
