Assassination Attempt on Russian Drone Manufacturer Chief Andrey Cherezov in Tula

Andrey Cherezov, the founder and director of the Russian Air Transport Laboratory, was shot and critically wounded in a targeted assassination attempt in Tula, approximately 150km south of Moscow. An unidentified gunman ambushed Cherezov in the stairwell of his apartment building, firing three shots before fleeing. Cherezov's company develops the Ovod combat drone series widely used by Russian forces in Ukraine. The Russian Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case for attempted murder.
