Retreating RSF Troops Launch Reprisal Attacks on Civilians in North Kordofan

Rapid Support Forces (RSF) units retreating from several fronts in North Kordofan launched a series of retaliatory attacks against civilians on July 29. The towns of Um Badr, Sodari, and El Mazroub were targeted, with reports of widespread looting of local markets and residential homes. RSF fighters reportedly arrested numerous residents on suspicion of collaborating with the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF). Thousands of civilians have fled the region as SAF forces attempt to reopen strategic supply routes.
