Israeli Forces Execute Demolitions and Massive Explosion in Majdal Zoun, Lebanon
On July 29, 2026, Israeli forces carried out several military operations in southern Lebanon, including a massive explosion that destroyed multiple homes in the town of Majdal Zoun. These actions occurred despite a US-mediated ceasefire framework intended to facilitate a phased Israeli withdrawal. Lebanese state media reported continued shelling, bulldozing, and drone surveillance over Beirut and the southern border areas, as tensions remain high despite ongoing diplomatic efforts to implement the security annex of the agreement.
