Russia launches massive ballistic missile and drone assault on Kyiv

Russian forces executed one of the largest ballistic missile attacks on the Ukrainian capital since the 2022 invasion began. Overnight on July 19, Moscow deployed 125 drones and approximately 40 missiles, including Iskander-M and hypersonic Zircon variants. The strikes targeted residential districts such as Sviatoshynskyi and Shevchenkivskyi, causing widespread fires and structural damage to apartment buildings. While the majority of projectiles were intercepted, at least six civilians were reported killed across several cities.
