Thousands of Israeli Settlers March Toward Gaza Border Demanding Return
On July 19, 2026, over 10,000 Israeli settlers and right-wing activists participated in a massive march toward the Gaza border. Organized by the Nahala movement, the demonstrators called for the re-establishment of Israeli settlements in the Palestinian territory, which were dismantled in 2005. While the marchers reached an agreement with the IDF to stop at the Zikim beach entrance rather than entering Gaza, the event underscores growing internal political pressure regarding the post-war status.
