Drone Strike Hits Iranian Kurdish Dissident Base in Iraq
A drone strike targeted a base of the Kurdistan Freedom Party (PAK), an Iranian Kurdish dissident group, located near Erbil in Iraq's semi-autonomous Kurdish region. Eight members of the group were wounded in the attack, according to military officials. Residents of Erbil reported hearing active air defense systems during the morning as several drones were intercepted in the vicinity. The attack is believed to be connected to the broader escalation between Iran and the United States.
