Heavy armed inter-clan violence triggered by land disputes erupted in the Luuq area of the Gedo region. The clashes forced approximately 42,000 people to abandon their homes and flee to hard-to-reach locations such as Yurkud, Ceel Boon, and Bashiiro, according to OCHA assessments. Displaced families face severe vulnerabilities, with women and children making up the majority, while humanitarian access remains severely constrained due to ongoing insecurity and roadblocks in the conflict-affected zones.
