2,260 Flee Umbro Villages Amid RSF Violence
On June 20, 2026, intense attacks and widespread looting by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) targeted two additional villages in the Umbro locality of North Darfur. The targeted violence and burning of properties forced an estimated 2,260 civilians to flee the area to escape the advancing fighters.
