DRC Ebola Outbreak Response Funding Shortfall Reaches $1.4 Billion
The Africa CDC issued an emergency alert that the containment of the rapidly spreading Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda now requires $1.4 billion. Worsening local conflict, ongoing displacement, and severe humanitarian conditions are heavily obstructing virus containment efforts among the 1,100+ infected.
