Russian Strikes Kill Nine Civilians Across Ukraine Following Intensified Air Campaign
Russian missile and drone strikes killed nine civilians across Ukraine on June 23, 2026. The central Dnipropetrovsk region suffered the highest toll with six fatalities, including three in Kryvyi Rih where a ballistic missile carrying cluster munitions struck a residential neighborhood. Other fatal strikes were reported in Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson. Ukrainian officials reported that Russia launched 135 drones overnight, of which 118 were intercepted, as Moscow continues daily barrages now entering their fifth year.
