Iranian Navy Fires Warning Missiles at US Warships in the Gulf of Oman
The Iranian Navy deployed drones and fired warning missiles near US warships operating in the Gulf of Oman, accusing the US of harassing commercial maritime traffic. Iranian state media claimed the US was attempting to seize oil tankers, a charge US Central Command denied. CENTCOM countered that Iranian forces did not fire at US vessels and emphasized that American ships are operating freely to enforce a naval blockade against Iran and ensure the safety of international shipping lanes.
