Russia Launches Massive Drone and Missile Barrage Across Ukraine
Russian forces launched an overnight aerial assault involving 656 drones and 73 missiles against multiple Ukrainian cities including Kyiv, Dnipro, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhzhia. At least 18 civilians were killed and 131 others wounded as residential buildings and infrastructure were impacted. Ukrainian air defenses successfully intercepted 602 drones and 40 missiles, but at least 38 locations were hit. The attack, described by residents as apocalyptic, follows weeks of intensified Russian aerial campaigning targeting Ukraine's power supply and infrastructure.
