Tens of thousands displaced by new IDF evacuation orders in southern Lebanon
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) and OCHA reported that approximately 17,500 new people were displaced over a two-week period ending in late May 2026. This mass movement was triggered by expanded IDF evacuation orders for the city of Nabatieh and areas south of the Zahrani River amid intensified airstrikes.
