Gaza Health Ministry Reports 33 Dead in Strikes During Eid Holiday
Gaza's Health Ministry reported that at least 33 Palestinians were killed by Israeli military fire over the last 24 hours, coinciding with the Eid al-Adha holiday on June 1, 2026. The fatalities occurred across multiple residential areas as Israeli operations continue despite growing humanitarian concerns. Nearly a million people in the enclave currently lack adequate shelter, with conditions described as squalid. Humanitarian access remains a central point of contention as international aid flotillas face ongoing diplomatic and physical blockades.
