Inter-communal Clashes Erupt in South Darfur with Use of RSF Military Vehicles
Violent fighting between the Salamat and Beni Halba tribes reignited in the town of Kubum, South Darfur, involving the use of Rapid Support Forces (RSF) military vehicles by both sides. Eyewitnesses reported the burning of several villages, including Wastani and Mirkindi, which triggered large-scale displacement toward Ad al-Fursan. The conflict underscores the fragility of previous reconciliation agreements and the integration of tribal militias into paramilitary structures. Unconfirmed numbers of fighters and civilians were reported killed.
