Armed Violence Escalation in Cité Soleil
Following a major escalation of armed gang violence that began on May 10, the UN and IOM reported on May 26, 2026, that approximately 17,500 people (4,200 households) were newly displaced from the Cité Soleil neighborhood in Port-au-Prince over the preceding two-week period.
