Iran Reviews 14-Point Peace Proposal to End Operation Epic Fury
The Iranian government announced on May 21, 2026, that it is examining a 14-point ceasefire proposal submitted by the United States via Pakistani intermediaries. President Donald Trump indicated that negotiations to end the Middle East war are in their final stages, although both nations continue to trade military threats. The proposal follows months of intense hostilities and a U.S.-led blockade that has severely degraded Iran's military infrastructure and impacted global energy markets.
