President Trump Postpones Planned Large-Scale Strike on Iran Amid New Peace Proposal
On May 19, 2026, U.S. President Donald Trump announced the postponement of a major military assault on Iran, originally scheduled for Tuesday, following urgent requests from leaders in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE. The delay aims to facilitate 'serious negotiations' after Iran submitted a new 14-point proposal through Pakistani mediators. Despite the pause, the White House maintains that the U.S. military remains poised for a full-scale assault if a diplomatic breakthrough fails.
