Strategic Assassination of Islamic Jihad Commander in Baalbek
An Israeli missile strike on an apartment building in the outskirts of Baalbek killed a high-ranking Islamic Jihad commander and his 17-year-old daughter. The targeted strike occurred in eastern Lebanon despite the existing truce between the two nations. Emergency services reported extensive damage to the residential structure as they searched the rubble for survivors. The assassination signals a shift in Israeli operations targeting specific militant leadership deep within Lebanese territory during active negotiations.
