Latvia Reports Russian Drone Crash Near Rezekne Oil Storage Facility
Latvia's National Armed Forces (NBS) reported that multiple drones entered Latvian airspace from Russia early on May 7. One drone crashed near an oil storage facility in the eastern city of Rezekne. Latvian police and military units have cordoned off the area to search for a second suspected drone. While no casualties or immediate damage to the oil infrastructure were reported, the incident has prompted a heightened security alert along the border.
