CENTCOM Requests Deployment of Dark Eagle Hypersonic Weapons to Middle East

U.S. Central Command officially requested the deployment of the Army's 'Dark Eagle' Long Range Hypersonic Weapon to its Area of Responsibility on April 30. The request follows intelligence reports that Iran has moved its missile launchers beyond the 300-mile range of current U.S. Precision Strike Missiles (PrSM). The deployment is intended to provide a rapid, long-range strike capability to counter Iranian-aligned militia threats and deter further escalations in the Strait of Hormuz and Iraq.
