Massive Myanmar Junta Offensive Displaces 8,000 in Kani Township
A military column of approximately 500 Myanmar junta troops launched a large-scale ground sweep through southern Kani Township. Moving from the Banbwekone military base, the forces advanced in two lines backed by active drone strikes to clear paths for infantry. The heavy offensive forced an estimated 8,000 residents across seven villages to abandon their homes and flee to makeshift shelters.
