Violence Spreads in Artibonite Displacing Thousands in L'Estère

According to OCHA, gang violence and armed attacks continued to ravage the Lower Artibonite region of Haiti. Specifically, multiple coordinated attacks in the L'Estère commune forced almost 2,600 people to quickly flee their homes for safety. The newly displaced individuals are currently staying with relatives or in informal displacement sites, placing further strain on already limited local resources and services amid the country's expanding security crisis [76].
