Significant Displacement in Marigot Municipality Following Armed Group Attacks
According to reports from DG ECHO and IOM, heavily armed groups conducted a series of violent attacks in the Kajak and Seguin areas of the Marigot municipality. These unprecedented attacks in the Southeast department forced 5,656 people to flee their homes and seek refuge with host families. This incident marks a significant and concerning geographic expansion of gang-related displacement previously concentrated in other regions [73, 76].
