Leaked Pentagon Memo Proposes Penalties for NATO Allies over Operation Epic Fury
An internal Pentagon memo leaked on April 24, 2026, outlined proposed punitive measures against NATO allies that have allegedly failed to provide sufficient support for Operation Epic Fury. The options include penalizing nations that restricted US access, basing, and overflight (ABO) rights during the campaign. The memo reflects growing frustrations within the US administration regarding the commitment of traditional European allies to the ongoing maritime and aerial conflict with Iran.
