Intensified cross-border clashes and aerial attacks between Afghan authorities and Pakistani forces from March 26 to 29, 2026, resulted in significant civilian harm and displacement. UNHCR Emergency Flash Update #9 confirmed that 3,200 people were forced to flee the Landi Kotal transit area and surrounding border villages.
