Anti-Government Protests Erupt in Seoul Following Corruption Allegations
Thousands of citizens gathered at Gwanghwamun Plaza in Seoul demanding the immediate resignation of the administration following leaked documents alleging high-level corruption in defense procurement. Protesters clashed with riot police late in the evening as they attempted to march toward the presidential office. At least 15 people were detained.
